We missed the hopeful noon departure for our first family vacay of 2010. I sure hope the laziness and chaos of today won't be indicative of our year to come. Nahhh. We were all, and I say ALL, up until 3am ringing in the New Year and thankfully our die-hard party-animal kidlets let us sleep in until 10. Nice! We had a lovely New Years Day visit with Nana & Papa this morning and we're now home. The plan is to throw everything into big plastic tubs and away we go....
No work, no phone, computer, blogging, facebook *egads*. Just family and nature. An entire week of snow shoeing, skating, tobogganing, sleigh rides, bonfires, hot tubing, swimming, BBQ-ing, family game nights by the fireplace and hopefully with a little sweet-talking, the big guy will let me sneak some scrapbooking in and maybe even **cross your fingers** time at the spa....ahhhhh.
He made it very clear that this trip was not about him taking the kids to the pool so I could go to the spa. Really honey. What part of 'family vacation' is us spending time apart from playing with the kids?? I'll just wait till they go to bed! hehe.
