Day eleven.

They're gone.  Suitcases packed and off ya go to Nana's house.

Today was the absolute worst day yet this year....hehehe, not bad for day eleven.  Those boys of mine have been little hellions since we've been home.  At my weakest moment I yelled so loud I'm sure I frayed a vocal chord.  Complete lack of control. So much for launching my singing career.

I suppose I can get a little 'banshee' when I'm lost amongst the excess and clutter of our stuff, so I will assume that this is the case with those little people.  TOO MANY TOYS.  There was a time waaaay back when Beebs was just about two when he had few toys and he absolutely cherished those toys.  He'd bring them on our outings, play with them nicely, clean them, put them away neatly. And then somehow that small collection of purposeful, educational, meaningful toys grew into the gargantuan pile we now have and nothing really has a home, it's mixed up between bedrooms, upstairs, downstairs.  Chaos.

After this past week at Elkhorn, I learned that there is still hope for purposeful, educational, meaningful play and how can I encourage them to have a chance at that when they too are suffocating in the excess and clutter of their stuff.

I will purge the toys.  Not just for me but for them too.

Meaningful play will flourish once again in this home!
